KIMA Particle Sizer
The Kima Particle Sizer (KPS) measures the size of cement particles in real time. This measurement data is used by, amongst other things, the mill controller and enables improvements in efficiency at the mill of up to 5%!
KIMA Particle Sizer (KPS)
Samples can be taken at various locations in the plant. The cement particles are extracted for the measurements using compressed air. This process does not require any complex components such as additional flaps or screw conveyors. The sampler simply requires a small hole. A laser diffraction device measures the fine cement particles and determines the absolute size of the cement particles. These measurement values are saved and can be used later on for further analyses and control purposes.
A standard PLC (not a black box) is used to control the KPS and can be independently operated and monitored via a local operating panel. Furthermore, the KPS can be integrated into an existing control system via standard interfaces quickly and easily.
The KIMA Particle Sizer can be used to monitor and correct the quality of the cement in real time. In combination with the Kima Mill Controller (KMC), customers can expect significant improvements in efficiency with respect to quality and throughput.
