Conveyor system for pallets in Austria

As part of the work on a new system for the transport of pallets and their logistics in a high-bay warehouse, KIMA delivered state-of-the-art automation technology that satisfied the demanding requirements. The services supplied to the customer included the provision of the load and control cabinets incl. their documentation with E-Plan P8, as well as commissioning, supervision of the installation work and training of the operating personnel on site.

Control system:

  • 1 x SIMATIC S7-1500, CPU 1515F-2PN

Operating and monitoring system:

  • 1 x SIMATIC HMI TP1200 Comfort Panel
  • 2 x SIMATIC HMI KTP 700 Mobile

Bus systems:

  • Profinet / Profisafe:
    • Connection of decentralised peripheral equipment
    • Connection of safety monitoring equipment via Profisafe to various third-party systems (e.g. Wickler)

Noteworthy aspects:

  • Connection, parameterisation and commissioning of SEW Eurodrive converters/servos
  • Processing of decentralized field signals via SEW peripherals (I/O cards on the converters/servos)
  • Functional safety incl. documentation for the proof of performance level (PL) for the KIMA scope of supply
  • Comprehensive drive and measuring point diagnostics for the operator panel on site
  • Convenient group diagnostics / selection
