We offer our training and simulation system for your process control system. Our clients have valued the benefits of this system for years. 

It is specifically designed for high-available, redundant systems and can realize the plant operators' requirements. 

Especially with new installations or the migration of automation systems there are significant synergies. 

The necessary process simulation for the FAT may be extended with a process simulation. The original operator programme and the simulation are put onto the plant's existing spare parts: 

a. Training opportunities for employees (self-training) 

b. Testing new or customized functionalities for process automation 

c. Simulating specific situations (with instructor) 

d. Spare parts for the system 

 

TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES FOR EMPLOYEES (SELF-TRAINING)


With the help of the training and simulation system plant operators can independently train the system's process behavior (`e-learning`). 

This results in the following advantages: 
 

  • Getting used to the operation of the new process visualization
  • Bringing about a process event and evaluate the results
  • Learning different operating procedures
  • Learning without fear of making errors

 

TESTING NEW OR CUSTOMIZED FUNCTIONALITIES FOR PROCESS AUTOMATION

The training and simulation system provides an ideal opportunity to test changes in process automation prior to importing them into the real system. The following adjustments can be tested: 
 

  • Software adjustment within the PLC program
  • Adjustments to the process visualization PCS7/WinCC
  • Controller testing
  • Testing of new hardware components (e.g. new CP is to be integrated)

 

SIMULATING SPECIFIC SITUATIONS (WITH INSTRUCTOR)

The system offers the possibility to manually feed additional knowledge into the simulation and thus influence the process. 

This results in the following:

  • Exertion of influence on the process by the instructor
  • Assessment of level of training of the students by bringing about specific situations
  • Time saving due to reduced process reaction (12h:1h)

 

SPARE PARTS FOR THE SYSTEM

The spare parts and system components that are necessary anyway are mounted in a switchgear cabinet and thus can be used actively. 

The result are the following advantages: 
 

  • In case of failure, the employees on stand-by immediately know whether the necessary module is functioning
  • The quick and safe usage of the module can be rehearsed and the original PLC programs can be imported into the spare CPU
